About Us

Youth Impact Centre CBO (Learn, Amplify, and Make a Difference) is a community-based charity organization dedicated to transforming lives and communities through education, social inclusion, healthcare, livelihood and social empowerment in Kibera slum and its suburbs. Founded with a vision to build a just, peaceful, and sustainable world, Youth Impact Centre CBO emerged as a response to the pressing needs of marginalized communities. Recognizing the potential within every individual, the organization was established to empower communities, protect the environment, and promote human rights, aiming to create a world where innovation and collaboration drive sustainable progress.


From its inception, Youth Impact Centre CBO was driven by a commitment to excellence, integrity, and social responsibility. The organization set out to empower individuals through education, skills enhancement, and advocacy, promoting sustainable livelihoods and inclusive development. Early programs focused on basic literacy, vocational training, and entrepreneurship, quickly gaining traction and transforming lives.


As the organization grew, it expanded its initiatives to include health education, Mentorship and, entrepreneurship, mental health support, agriculture and climate change and resilience. Collaborating with local and international partners, Youth Impact Centre CBO strengthened its impact, leading successful advocacy campaigns and fostering a culture of inclusivity and continuous improvement. Today, Youth Impact Centre CBO stands as a beacon of hope and progress, dedicated to shaping a brighter, more prosperous world for generations to come. Through its core values of collaboration, inclusivity, transparency, empowerment, and sustainability, the organization continues to learn, amplify voices, and make a lasting difference in the lives of those it serves.

Providing quality education and vocational training is crucial. Empowered youth need the right skills, critical thinking abilities, and knowledge to navigate life challenges and seize opportunities.

Empowering youths by giving them a voice in decision-making processes at local, national, and global levels. Encouraging youths to engage in leadership roles, whether in student councils, community projects, or civic movements.

Financial independence is vital for youth empowerment. Access to job opportunities, entrepreneurship training, and financial literacy programs helps young people become economically self-reliant, allowing them to contribute to society.

Youth should be aware of their rights and responsibilities. Encouraging participation in civic activities, advocacy, and community peace initiatives not only empowers them but also drives societal progress.

Youth empowerment also involves ensuring access to healthcare and promoting mental and physical well-being. Healthy youth are more capable of pursuing their goals and contributing positively to their communities.
